Utah Hires Urban Meyer's Son-In-Law Corey Dennis As An Analyst
USA TODAY Sports

After spending nine years with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Corey Dennis has officially signed on with Utah in an analyst role according to Cleveland.com.

Following the Buckeyes' hiring of offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien, Dennis' role with the team which had been as the quarterbacks coach since 2020, was expected to turn into an analyst role.

He has ties to former Utah and Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer, as he is his son-in-law. During his time in Columbus, he went from intern to graduate assistant, to senior quality control coach, before being promoted to quarterbacks coach.

During his time as the quarterbacks coach, he helped guide both Justin Fields in the 2020 season and both of the Heisman Trophy finalist seasons for C.J. Stroud. He also was an elite recruiter for Ohio State, as he was listed as the primary recruiter for quarterbacks Quinn Ewers, Devin Brown, and Air Noland among other talented signal-callers.

He could end up being someone who works his way into an on-field role in Salt Lake City or elsewhere thanks to all of his experience.
