Golf best bets: Four top props for the 3M Open

Riding off the tails of a Brian Harman outright winner at The Open Championship, we're back for another round of PGA Tour best bets. Check out our four favorite prop bets for this week's 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities.

Lucas Glover top-20 finish (+230 FanDuel)

Remember Lucas Glover? You know, 2009 U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover? The 43-year-old has struggled mightily since his last win at the 2021 John Deere Classic, but a recent putter change has kickstarted an impressive hot streak.

Glover has finished solo fifth, T6, and T4 in his last three starts, and he's gained 6.6 strokes putting over that span. The ball striking isn't the problem for Glover, as he's gained strokes off the tee and on approach eight times in his last 11 starts. If the putter cooperates, a top-20 finish should be no problem for the veteran.

Vincent Norrman top-30 finish (+150 DraftKings)

Speaking of hot hands leading up to the 3M Open, say hello to Vincent Norrman.

The talented 25-year-old has quietly enjoyed a fantastic rookie season after a rough start. Norrman has recorded eight top-25 finishes in his last 14 starts, highlighted by a win at the Barbasol Championship two weeks ago. Past winners Tony Finau, Cameron Champ, and Matthew Wolff have proven TPC Twin Cities is a bomber's golf course, and Norrman ranks 11th on Tour this season in driving distance. The Swede has gained strokes off the tee in 12 straight starts, and he'll make it 13 this week.

Ludvig Aberg > Justin Thomas (-110 FD)

Talk about two players going in opposite directions.

Justin Thomas has been abysmal of late with four missed cuts and one top-60 finish in his last seven starts. The Ryder Cup hopeful has lost strokes on approach in five of those seven, which is shocking for one of the best iron players of the last decade.

Meanwhile, Ludvig Aberg is on the rise with three top-25 finishes in his last five starts. Aberg bombs it long and straight off the tee, so much so that he would rank No. 4 on Tour in strokes gained: off the tee if he had enough starts to qualify. This golf course is perfect for Aberg, and it's impossible to trust JT right now.

Emiliano Grillo top South American (-140 DK)

I don't love targeting golf prop bets with minus odds, but this one is too good to pass up. Emiliano Grillo is on my outright card this week because of his stellar recent form and his two top-three finishes in three starts at TPC Twin Cities. All he needs to do in this market is beat three players: Tano Goya, Augusto Nunez, and Nico Echavarria. Goya has one top-30 finish in his last 12 starts, Nunez has missed five cuts in seven tries, and Echavarria hasn't made a cut since April.

This shouldn't be an issue for the far-superior Grillo.
