Here's how Tiger Woods' odds to win the Masters changed after Genesis Invitational

While those odds are still pretty long, Woods is actually listed better than some golfers who have been playing more regularly than he has. Rickie Fowler, who finished T-20 at the Genesis Invitational, is an 80-1 long shot to win the Masters, as is 2017 Masters winner Sergio Garcia. Three-time Masters winner Phil Mickelson is a whopping 180-1 long shot at DraftKings.

With his odds improving, parallels are already being drawn to when Woods was an underdog at the 2019 Masters and pulled off an unprecedented victory.

While Woods narrowly made the cut after Friday's round at Riviera Country Club, he proved that he can still compete at a high level. The biggest hurdle he has to overcome is how he feels making it around the course, as major injuries and surgeries have impacted how well he can walk around the links.

"He’s got enough speed, he’s hitting it far, he’s doing everything he needs to do," Rory McIlroy told Golfweek. "It’s just a matter of making sure he can get around the golf course. That’s the most important thing. As far as the aspects you need to play golf, it was all there. When you haven’t played a competitive round in six to seven months, whatever it is – you’re going to be a little rusty."

There is still no word yet as to whether Woods will play another event before the Masters. One thing is for sure though: The anticipation to watch him compete for a sixth green jacket is higher than ever.
