LIV Golf tries to lure in more PGA Tour players prior to merger deal 

Just a few days ago, pro golfer Viktor Hovland revealed that he will never jump ship as he’s not interested in the LIV Golf format. He bluntly stated “ I don’t think I would have become a better golfer” had he signed with the Saudi-backed league.

While he understands why Jon Rahm made his decision, especially considering the amount of money given, for Hovland, competing against “150 players and a cut” is more challenging. Despite rejection from one of the top golfers, LIV was reported to also have approached American golfer Tony Finay.

Although fans were conflicted over Tony Finau’s possible LIV Golf signing rumor, the Full Swing star re-affirmed that he’s not going to jump ship on an Instagram post. He stated that he’s excited for the 2024 season and will be looking forward to participating in that.

The rumors started after his close friend Rahm made his decision to quit the PGA Tour for financial and professional reasons. Rahm’s signing with LIV has been one of the heaviest blows to the Tour as he was one of the top 5 golfers in the world. His exit left a hole in the PGA which is yet to be filled.

Several changes are expected to come forward in the upcoming days, with rumors of LIV-PGA merger talk being done on December 31.
