Patrick Reed is a favorite sleeper from LIV Golf to win Masters

The week of the Masters has finally arrived, and by now you're probably well aware of who the favorites are to win at Augusta National on Sunday. 

Of course, a big event like this is rife with sleeper picks to rock the green jacket on Sunday afternoon -- and there is one pick from the LIV Golf side of the aisle that is as surprising as it is controversial.

On a list of sleepers that includes PGA pros such as Jason Day and Texas Open winner Corey Conners, CBS Sports has also tapped Patrick Reed as someone who could be a surprise winner this weekend. While fellow LIV Golfers Cameron Smith and Dustin Johnson still have shorter odds, the outlet argues that the 2018 Masters winner -- frequently known more for his antics than his play -- has experience on his side.

"The case for Reed, who hasn't played on the PGA Tour since moving over to LIV Golf last summer, is that no matter what his form, he plays well at Augusta National," CBS said of Reed, who is a 60-1 long shot at DraftKings. "Reed also has two top 10s since his triumph in 2018 and will be mega juiced this time around because of how much rhetoric there will be about the league in which he now plays."

As far as rhetoric goes, being associated with LIV Golf isn't the only reason Reed is a controversial figure. In addition to his multiple rule disputes during tournaments, Reed isn't shy about trying to sue anyone he feels has done him dirty -- even going so far as to subpoena Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy on Christmas. If there was one LIV Golfer who would be part of any shenanigans at this year's Masters, Reed is a strong candidate.
