Chipper Jones cutout placed in stands inside Mets' Citi Field

Former Atlanta Braves great Chipper Jones is no longer terrorizing the New York Mets at the plate, but that doesn't mean he is finished giving his formal rival the business.

As Tim Tucker of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution noted, Jones is beginning his first season as an ESPN analyst working from home due to the coronavirus pandemic. With fans not permitted inside ballparks such as New York's Citi Field at the start of the campaign, the Hall of Famer, who retired after the 2012 season, found a way to troll the Mets and make sure he'll be visible during New York home games:

The Mets host the Braves on Friday to open their seasons.

Even though Jones crushed the Mets throughout his legendary career, the Amazins and members of their fan base honored Jones during his final player appearance in Flushing.

MLB clubs are hoping to allow spectators on a "case by case" basis later this summer.
