Defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo has helped lead the Bengals to two straight AFC Championship appearances with one of the better defenses in the NFL. However, he has yet to receive a single interview for a head-coaching vacancy this year.
ESPN analyst Louis Riddick didn't mince words in a Tweet about the coach.
Spoke with Lou Anarumo again last night, and going to say this again. The fact that nobody wants to hear about his leadership, team building/salary cap, staff construction, teaching and development (offensive and defensive and ST) philosophies via a HC interview is a joke.

Anarumo's defense was the fifth best in points per game during the regular season (20.1). It's also the second best in the postseason (13.5) and the best of the team that have played two playoff games.
His lack of national attention has many confused. So, media personality Pat McAfee asked him why he isn't getting any head-coaching opportunities.
"I wish I had the answer for you," Anarumo said on "The Pat McAfee Show." "I have no idea, but we're just worried about beating the Chiefs this weekend."
Why aren't you being interviewed to be Head Coach of the Colts?

He did have one opportunity last offseason, and he didn't take it for granted.
"I had a chance last year with the Giants. I interviewed for that job around this time last year. That was a great experience," Anarumo added.
At least Bengals fans will be please he's sticking around.
