Instead of getting sad that we're on to Week 14 in the NFL, be happy that we have so many reliable betting trends to build off of moving forward. Totals in particular have continued to see dominant runs on both ends of the coin.
Were the Giants playing not to lose in OT this past week by punting past midfield with less than two minutes to go, or did they just want to become the best team against the spread this year? Who's to say, but after their 20-20 tie with Washington, New York is tied for the best ATS record.
That mantle is shared with Cincinnati, who took it to Kansas City in a massive win. The Cowboys continue to cruise, and the Lions are surprisingly favorites at home over the 10-2 Vikings this weekend.
The Buccaneers are going to be a welcomed sight in the first round of the playoffs for the Cowboys as the fifth seed, aren't they? Tampa is 6-6 but has been the worst team you could be backing against the spread this season.
Jacksonville was blown out by Detroit this past weekend, and while the Bears and Broncos have not been good ATS, they're elite in another market.
All the Bears do is lose football games and hit the over. They've now gone over their total points in seven straight games.
The Eagles and Lions offenses have come alive the past few weeks, which has helped solidify both teams as some of the most consistent to the over.
What more can really be said here about unders this season? We sure hope you've been on the Denver and Tampa Bay under train, because it's been the most profitable trend in the NFL this season. It's truly astounding how consistent these have been, no matter how low they end up being listed at.
This week, the over/under in Broncos-Chiefs is 43 and the total in Bucs-Niners is set at 37.
We're seeing just one game that intersects two trends. If you expand your search range you'd likely find some more, but we like to keep this article a recap of the truly best and worst betting teams for the various trends.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Tennessee Titans (-4) - We've got two AFC South teams here that were both blown out in Week 13. We'd prefer to back Tennessee here, they should be able to get back on track against what is a very weak Jacksonville defense. The Titans have won five straight games against the Jaguars, including three straight by 18+ points.
