Los Angeles Chargers fans are revved up for the Jim Harbaugh era. As they should be, he has proven he's a winner at multiple levels and a jitterbug of energy during it all.
Their new HC talked to the media earlier this week as the Chargers began a new chapter for their team.
"They've been great. This is just true, it's been the best damn job I've ever had to start out with," he said Tuesday, via the team's official transcript. "I hope that it ends that way, but it's been a tremendous start. Hiring coaches, free agency -- that's not just one day, that goes for a while -- getting ready for the draft. Really excited about the coaching staff and the amount of work that has been produced over the last month-and-a-half. It's been a lot, they've done a great job. It's been locked, cocked, ready to rock, just needed the players to come in, and we got that today. It's been really good." -- Harbaugh via team's official transcript
Of course, what else would he say? San Francisco was better? I really miss the Wolverines in Michigan? Probably not.
Regardless, you could sense the excitement and eagerness for Harbaugh. He's happy to be back in the NFL and said as much when asked about it.
"It just feels like there is a new lift and energy in the building. I see that eagerness in the players. Maybe that's just because I'm so eager, but I truly see it, an eagerness with our guys. A good first day." -- Harbaugh
#Chargers HC and football guy Jim Harbaugh: "Most people think January 1st is the start of the new year. Those that espouse to Christianity, Catholicism, correlate it with the birth of Christ. But us in football? Today, April 2nd: Start of the new year.”pic.twitter.com/XCgt7wNJbm

Players are happy to have a new leader in the building. You could sense some dismay at the end of the Brandon Staley tenure, and Harbaugh has breathed some life into the team rather quickly.
There is plenty left to do to improve the roster, but Harbaugh is confident that his staff and the front office can get it done.
