Comedian Kevin Hart suffers massive injury in race gone wrong against former Steelers RB Stevan Ridley

The Pittsburgh Steelers have an extremely long and storied history. There are so many franchise legends who come to mind; some of which played on the field and others that coached on it. The organization is tied with the New England Patriots for the most Super Bowl Titles of all time with six, and while hundreds of players were involved in those legendary victories, many more did not get to experience greatness. One guy who had the luxury of winning a championship with the Patriots was running back Stevan Ridley, who played for Pittsburgh at the end of his career.

Ridley played eight seasons in the NFL and was drafted by New England in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played a year with the New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons prior to joining the Steelers for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. He wasn't known as the fastest ball carrier around with a 40-yard dash time of only about 4.65 seconds, but was a big body at 220 pounds and could run over defenders.

The running back isn't too well-known in Pittsburgh as he only played in 12 games for the Steelers and wasn't even able to eclipse 200 total rushing yards in that time. His most memorable performance was against the Cleveland Browns at the end of the 2017 season. Ridley carried the ball 17 times for 80 yards and a touchdown which could be the reason he played a second and final year in the Steel City.

Former Steelers Running Back Involved In Crazy Incident With Celebrity

On Wednesday evening, comedian Kevin Hart told the world that he was suffering from some injuries. Hart began the announcement of what had happened by relating to individuals who are 40 years of age or older. He is currently 44 and seems to have made a grave mistake trying to act a little bit young and athletic.

He took to social media to explain exactly what was going on in his life currently.

"This is just a public service announcement because people may see me out and I don't want you to be alarmed, but I'm in a wheelchair. Why? Well, because I tried to jump out there and do some young stuff... and I was told to sit my a-- down."

It was a bit confusing to understand what he was referring to, but he set it up perfectly like most elite comedians do. He ended up bringing Ridley into the conversation and, as it turns out, the former Steelers ball carrier is the reason for the wheelchair.

"Shouts out to Stevan Ridley. I'm going to put this story out there before you do. Me and Stevan got in this little debate. This debate was based off of who's faster. Those that know me know I'm pretty fast. Stevan said 'Kevin, ain't no way you gonna beat me.'"

Hart continued and revealed exactly what his injuries were. The 44-year old clearly wasn't aware of what it would do to his body if he attempted to race a former NFL running back who is 34-years old.

'We get out there. We go run the 40-yard dash. Guys, I blew all my sh--. Tore my lower abdomen. My abductors are torn. I don't even know what that is. I can't walk."

It's a wild and funny story. No one should be surprised if this was some sort of promo looking for publicity, but it's still more than possible that Hart truly did tear his abdomen running the 40 versus Ridley. Hopefully, Hart isn't too banged up and will be out of the wheelchair in no time.

Hart didn't stop with his tangent and kept on going with his hilarious tone. He might regret for a while that he tried to beat a Super Bowl champion running back at the age of 44.

"What are we competing for at this age? What am I doing? Why'd I even race?"
