NFL Week 1 'MNF' Touchdown bets: Look to the studs in Bills vs. Jets

Sometimes simplicity is best when it comes to finding some touchdown scorers. Consider our 'TNF' article. I targeted Kalif Raymond because the Lions seemed to be in a good spot for WR touchdowns. Instead, the clear-cut top receiver on Detroit, Amon-Ra St. Brown, was the one to find paydirt.

In that vein, we're going for some straightforward names tonight as the Buffalo Bills visit the New York Jets.

DraftKings is offering a risk-free bet tonight, so be sure to opt in there. The odds for these two combined is +567 on FanDuel, but I'd rather roll with the slightly worse price in exchange for a risk-free wager.

.5u: Garrett Wilson & Josh Allen touchdowns (+550 DraftKings)

We start with New York's Garrett Wilson, the 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year. Wilson saw 19 red zone targets last year to lead the team, and now has Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers throwing him the football.

Wilson is easily the top weapon for this Jets passing attack, and last season, Buffalo allowed the fourth-most touchdowns to wide receivers. In two games last year against the Bills, Wilson caught 14 balls for 170 yards. He should see plenty of targets, and expect Rodgers to look his way plenty. If you're looking for value from this position group, Rodgers targeted Allen Lazard 17 times in the red zone last year in Green Bay.

As for Josh Allen, we should see the Bills quarterback get moving with his legs quite a bit against a formidable New York defensive line that seems likely to flush him out of the pocket. Allen scored eight touchdowns last year, including three against this Jets defense.

New York allowed the fourth-most rushing touchdowns to QBs last season. Allen saw 25 red zone carries last year, including 11 inside the five, the latter of which led the team.

Season recap on TD scorers: 0-4 (-2u)
