Peter Schrager picks this team to beat the 49ers in Super Bowl 58
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

"Good Morning Football" host Peter Schrager made his annual Super Bowl prediction, boasting that he has correctly picked the NFL champions over the last four seasons. So, which team did the NFL Network talent project to come out on top in Super Bowl 58?

No, not the San Francisco 49ers. It's the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 49ers are involved in the pick, though. Schrager predicts the Chiefs will win their fourth Lombardi by beating the Niners 34-28 in the big game.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the 49ers will be the number one seed in the NFC," Schrager told viewers. "They'll get their revenge from a year ago, and they will beat the Eagles in a hard-hitting NFC Championship Game."

Schrager added that the Cincinnati Bengals would be the top-seeded AFC team but predicted the Chiefs to go into Paycor Stadium and knock them off.

"So it'll be 49ers versus Chiefs in Vegas," Schrager continued. "And as specific as I was with [Chiefs LB] Nick Bolton a year ago, I will be specific on this one as well. The winner, with the exact score being 34 to 28 .... and with second-year cornerback Trent McDuffie returning a pick-six late in the fourth quarter, the Kansas City Chiefs will yet again be your Super Bowl champions."

If this comes true, it will be the second time in five years that the 49ers have lost a Super Bowl to the Chiefs and the third time in five years—and second consecutive time—that the Chiefs have won the big game.
