Unnamed NBA Player Votes Kirk Cousins as His Favorite Athlete for Savage Reasons

In 2012, Cousins entered the NFL Draft and was selected by the Washington Redskins using the seventh pick in the fourth round. He would go on to play six seasons there and establish himself as one of the most promising players in the league during that time.

After his time playing for the Redskins, Cousins signed a three-year contract worth $84 million with the Minnesota Vikings. He would go on to lead the team to the playoffs in 2019 and 2022, and was selected to three Pro Bowls during his time there.

Once his time with the Vikings is done, Cousins inked a new four-year $180 million deal with the Atlanta Falcons. And even though the league started investigations whether any tampering happened with the deal, a lot of eyes will be on the QB to see if he can transform the Falcons into winners in the coming months.

Along with Gobert being named as the Most Overrated Player and Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey being named as the Most Improved Player, there’s also the category for the best Non-NBA Athlete. As it stands, an unnamed NBA star voted for Cousins, as seen in a post shared by Taco Trey Kerby on X:

During his time playing in the NFL, Cousins has never went far in the few playoff appearances he had in Washington and Minnesota. Similar to Chandler Parsons' massive $94 million contract with the Grizzlies in 2016, the quarterback has also received a lot of money without translating to success on the field for his teams.

It remains to be seen which non-NBA star will win this award. Nevertheless, there’s a very small chance Cousins will emerge as the winner, no matter how savaged the unnamed NBA player’s reason was.
