Predators Practice Report 12/18: All Hands On Deck
USA TODAY Sports

The Nashville Predators took the ice the morning for practice as they prepare for a three game week that kicks off tomorrow against the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks, one of the best teams in the league this season, defeated the Predators twice in October, and Nashville is preparing for another tough game tomorrow night at home.

Andrew Brunette referred to tomorrow night's game as a "measuring stick" to gauge where the Predators are at this point in the season.

"They play at a fast pace, and they have some really skilled guys buying into that style," Brunette said. "They don't need a lot of chances to produce, so it's going to be a good test for us."

Player Updates

After being dumped on the ice by Dylan Strome at the end of the game against the Washington Capitals, Cody Glass was on the ice and a full participant in practice today.

Glass is feeling good after the late game "hook" and is putting his two early season injuries behind him.

"I'm feeling good," Glass said after practice. "Finally feel like I'm skating and getting back to normal."

Getting a regular practice in has been rare for the Predators during an especially busy game schedule recently. Having a full practice today with everyone on the ice and getting reps with line mates.

Kiefer Sherwood was also back on the ice for practice today after missing two games with an upper body injury. After practice Andrew Brunette gave an update on his status.

"He'll be ready to go. He just was dealing with a little something," Brunette said. "He'll be available tomorrow night."
