Achraf Hakimi scored a beautiful goal on the opening night of this season's UEFA Champions League group stage as Paris Saint-Germain beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0.

The Morocco right-back netted against his former club in the 58th minute to double PSG's lead following a Kylian Mbappe penalty kick early in the second half at the Parc des Princes.

Hakimi's goal was majestically assisted by Vitinha.

The Portugal midfielder dribbled past Felix Nmecha before backheeling the ball to Hakimi, who was stood 25 yards from goal.

Hakimi then played a neat one-two with Vitinha, floored Mats Hummels with some clever footwork and fired a shot past Gregor Kobel using the outside of his right foot.

PSG's victory saw Luis Enrique's side go top of Group F.

AC Milan and Newcastle United had drawn 0-0 in Italy earlier on Tuesday.

PSG will travel to Newcastle for their next group game on October 4.
