Erik ten Hag spoke to reporters this afternoon to provide an update on the team news ahead of Manchester United’s FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City.

We will be travelling to Wembley on Sunday, with Chelsea and Man City facing off in the other semi-final tomorrow. The winners of both games will book a place in the final next month.

It’s the last opportunity for United to win silverware this season but the same could be said for Chelsea as well as Coventry, while Man City remain in the Premier League title race after crashing out of the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Ahead of the game, Ten Hag has many injuries that will determine who he can select to start at Wembley.

Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelof, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial are all sidelined.

Ten Hag says Antony and Scott McTominay should be in contention to make the semi-final after they both missed last weekend’s 2-2 draw at Bournemouth. The Scotland midfielder picked up a knock at Chelsea whereas Antony was a mystery absentee on our trip to the Vitality Stadium.

“Yeah, Antony and Scott I expect them to be back,” Ten Hag said, as quoted by ManUtd.com. “Scott didn’t train all week, partial on Wednesday, today I expect him full. Antony did train the whole week.”

The manager then answered a follow up question about Harry Maguire following a knock he took in the draw against Bournemouth.

Ten Hag said: “As I’ve said, Harry had a small issue at Bournemouth, which he overcame. He hasn’t trained this week, until today, but I expect him to be in full training today and available on Sunday.”
